Saint-Gobain Glass Introduces COOL‑LITE® SKN 155 and SKN 155 II Upgraded High-Performance Building Façade Solutions

Saint-Gobain Glass officially launched two high-performance solar control coated glass products, COOL‑LITE® SKN 155 and COOL‑LITE® SKN 155 II, targeting the modern building facade market. These products optimize energy efficiency, comfort, and design in synergy, expanding the boundaries of premium glass applications.

The two new products are developed based on dual silver coating technology, achieving a visible light transmittance of 50% and a total solar transmittance (g-value) of 27% under standard configuration, ensuring a stable balance between daylighting and shading. This performance combination effectively reduces solar heat gain, lowers building cooling loads, improves indoor lighting and thermal environments, and enhances energy efficiency in public buildings and residential projects.

In terms of appearance, the product features neutral tones and low external reflection design, ensuring consistent visual performance under varying lighting and viewing angles. It seamlessly adapts to minimalist, modern, and other architectural styles, meeting aesthetic requirements for curtain walls and large-area daylighting applications. The product offers two process versions—annealed and temperable—compatible with low-carbon substrates such as PLANICLEAR®, DIAMANT®, and ORAÉ®, reducing both embodied carbon and operational carbon while enhancing material selection flexibility for projects.

Saint-Gobain Glass stated that COOL‑LITE® SKN 155 and SKN 155 II continue the series' technological roadmap, focusing on sustainability and high performance to provide architects, developers, and fabricators with standardized, highly adaptable facade solutions.
